On March 22,the London-based QS(Quacquarelli Symonds)announced its latest world university rankings by subject 2016. Three of our subjects rank among top 300: Linguistics 51-100; Modern Languages 51-100; and English Language & Literature 201-250.
As one of the most inflential unversity rankings, the 2016 QS rankings draw on the opinions of 76,798 academics on the overall performance of the subject and of 44,426 employers on employability of the graduates, alongside analysis of 28.5 million research papers and over 113 million citations, sourced from Scopus, the world’s most comprehensive research citations database.
