From Feb. 28 to Mar. 6, BFSU organized the Sustainable Development Workshop 2016 for a high-level delegation from Thailand, who was visiting China at the invitation of China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD). Headed by Mr. Paisal Puechmongkol, Vice-President and Secretary-General of Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association and Vice Minister to the Deputy Prime Minister, the 20-member Thai delegation consisted of high-level government officials from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the Government Public Relations Department as well as managers, editors and journalists from 12 Thai media organizations.
Mr. Yan Guohua, Vice President of BFSU attended the opening ceremony on Feb. 28,and addressed the meeting. Mr. Ji Ping, Deputy Secretary-General of CFPD made a keynote speech about the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
The delegation had discussions and exchanged views on topics related to China’s current political, economic and social development with scholars and specialists from the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, CFPD and BFSU, and visited organizations such as China Raiway Construction Corporation. They also paid a field visit to the southern city of Shenzhen to know more about the latest development of China’s special economic zones and free trade zones.
