Noong Disyembre 1-10, pumunta si Yang Dan, pangalawang tagapangulo ng Konseho at presidente ng BFSU sa Ethiopia, Madagascar at Tanzania kasama ang grupo niya. Bumisita sila sa China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), Addis Ababa University (AAU), the African Union Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, the National Archives and Library of Ethiopia, the Education Division of the African Union, Ecole Normale Supérieure d'Antananarivo, the University of Antananarivo, the Madagascar Chinese Association, the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) at sentro ng Pag-aaral ng Tsina niya, Confucius Institute ng UDSM, StarTimes Tanzania, CCECC East Africa Limited at China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) Tanzania Branch.
