On April 6, BFSU signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University during a ceremony held in BFSU. President Peng Long and President Mutanov Galimkair signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities. The two sides reached consensus on a wide range of issues including language education, faculty development, student development, information sharing, and Kazakh language teaching and research, and they also discussed possibilities for future cooperation.

Kazakh Ambassador to China Shakhrat Nuryshev attended the ceremony.
