The School of Law of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSULAW), formerly the Law Department of the School of English and International Studies of BFSU, started admitting students in 2001, and got its current name in 2006. At present, we have 35 full-time teachers, including 33 teachers with PhD degrees. 32 of our teachers have overseas study experiences. We currently have 228 students enrolled in our undergraduate programs, 105 in our master’s programs and 78 in our multilingual programs for a second bachelor’s degree. BFSULAW offers juris master’s programs in international business law, international law, intellectual property law, civil & business law, and international judicial and law enforcement cooperation. Prof. Luo Haocai, former vice chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), serves as our honorary president, and Judge Wang e’xiang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and former vice president of the Supreme People’s court, serves as our chief professor.
BFSULAW provides curricula covering Chinese law (bilingual), Common Law (bilingual), British and American language and culture as well as business courses. After four years of undergraduate studies, students will have a good knowledge of China’s legal system, and the Common Law, and become competent for business law practices.
