On June 6，Richard Stengel, US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, paid a visit to BFSU when he was in Beijing attending the Eighth Round of China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue. He met with some Chinese and US Fullbrighters, and attended China-US student exchange activities held on the campus.  His delegation included US government officials such as Mala Adiga, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Academic Programs, and Lisa Heller, Minister Counselor of the US Embassy. BFSU President Peng Long and Vice President Yan Guohua met with the delegation.
