On December 10, Mr. Elchin Rahimov, Deputy Head of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, headed a delegation to BFSU. President Peng Long and Vice President Yan Guohua met with the delegation.

President Peng briefed the Azerbaijani guests about the ongoing education and research programs at BFSU and commended our friendly exchanges with Azerbaijan. He expressed on behalf of BFSU our readiness to push forward the development of the Azerbaijani language programs and the establishment of a center for Azerbaijani studies. He also expressed our hope to attract more Azerbaijani students to study at BFSU.

Mr. Rahimov spoke highly of BFSU as a well known university in the field of diplomatic and language studies with its strong faculty and education excellence. He expressed on behalf of the Azerbaijani authorities their readiness to work with BFSU under the Belt and Road Initiative to promote people-to-people exchanges between our two countries. He also expressed his hope to see an increase in the number of students enrolled in the Azerbaijani program of BFSU in order to prepare more professionals to work for our bilateral relations in the future.
