On November 16, Dr. Felix Mayer, Director of the SDI München and President of the University of Applied Languages, paid a visit to BFSU. President Peng Long met with the delegation and presented Dr. Felix Mayer with a certificate recognizing his honorary professorship.

President Peng expressed his gratitude for the long-standing relations between the two universities. He spoke highly of the joint double degree MA program in conference interpreting and wished for increased cooperation in the field of translation and German studies and more joint programs in political science, economics and international relations.

President Mayer expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lecture in the Department of German to share with BFSU teachers and students the application of technology in translation and interpreting. He also wished for increased cooperation in terms of teacher and student training, and pedagogical research as well as cooperation under the framework of Confucius Institute.
