On October 17, Rector Dag Rune Olsen and Vice-Rector Annelin Eriksen of the University of Bergen (UiB) paid a visit to BFSU. President Peng Long and Vice President Jia Dezhong met with the UiB delegation.

President Peng thanked the UiB guests for the hospitality he received during his visit to UiB last June, and expressed his satisfaction with the constructive discussions and agreements signed during that meeting. He also briefed the guests on international exchange activities of BFSU and the development of Norwegian language program and the Center for Norwegian Studies，and expressed his hope to further promote in-depth cooperation with UiB in the field of language & culture, law, political studies, business as well as country & area studies.

Vice President Jia briefed the guests on BFSU’s efforts in developing additional language programs and offering bilingual programs taught both in English and Chinese. He welcomed UiB students to exchange programs in BFSU.

Rector Olsen talked about UiB’s cooperation plan with China and listed BFSU as one of the key partners in this cooperation. He expressed his hope for more exchanges of teachers and students and more research collaboration between our two universities in the field of language & culture, international relations and law.
