On May 3, the Confucius Institute at the University of Hawaii, with BFSU as its Chinese partner, was awarded as a Model Confucius Institute by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban. Mr. Ma Jianfei and Ms. Jing Wei, deputy chief executives of Confucius Institute Headquarters attended the ceremony. Professor David Lassner, President of the University of Hawaii, accepted the award on behalf of the Institute. BFSU Council Chairman Wang Dinghua attended the ceremony on behalf of BFSU as the Institute’s Chinese partner.
