BFSU Launches School of Asian Studies and School of African Studies

On Sept. 23, BFSU held a ceremony to launch the School of Asian Studies and the School of African Studies.

Over 1,000 people attended the ceremony, including: Wang Dinghua, chairman of BFSU University Council; more than 20 diplomats from 15 Asian and African countries including Martin Mpana, head of the African mission to China & Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to China, Aziz Mekouar, Moroccan Ambassador to China,Leela Mani Paudyal, Ambassador of Nepal to China, M. Fazlul Karim, Bangladesh Ambassador to China,Debora Balatseng, Minister of South African Embassy in China, andTuan Abdul Aziz How Abdullah, Education Counsellor of Malaysian Embassy in China; more than 20 former Chinese ambassadors to foreign countries; Chen Dehai, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Center; Dai Bing, Director-General of the Department of African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Wu Yan, Director General of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education; leaders and professors from 25 Chinese universities; and BFSU teachers and students.

Wang Dinghua,Wu Yan, Chen Dehai, Leela Mani Paudyal, Tuan Abdul Aziz How Abdullah, Fazlul Karim and Su Yingying (Dean of the School of Asian Studies) unveiled the plaque for the School of Asian Studies. Wang Dinghua, Dai Bing, Aziz Mekouar, Xue Jinwei (former Chinese ambassador to Gabon and Cameroon), Debora Balatseng and Li Hongfeng (Dean of the School of African Studies) unveiled the plaque for the School of African Studies.
