Chairman Wang Dinghua Meets with Sri Lankan Guests

On May 29, Wang Dinghua, chairman of BFSU University Council, met with a Sri Lankan delegation headed by Ambassador Karunasena Kodituwakku and Vice-Chancellor Endera Arachchige Weerasinghe of National School of Business Management.

Mr. Wang briefed the Sri Lankan guests about BFSU including its history, outstanding language teaching traditions and academic programs, in particular the development of BFSU’s Sinhalese program. He spoke highly of the friendly relations with Sri Lanka and National School of Business Management, and hoped for closer cooperation at all levels between the two sides for teacher and student exchanges.

Ambassador Karunasena Kodituwakku presented himself as an old friend of BFSU and expressed his readiness to start more cooperation programs with BFSU and promote closer ties in education.

Vice-Chancellor Endera Arachchige Weerasinghe said he was impressed with the large number of Chinese companies investing in Sri Lanka and showed great interest in the Belt and Road Initiative. He expressed his readiness to cooperation with BFSU’s International Business School to facilitate China’s investment efforts in Sri Lanka.

The two sides then had detailed discussions on potential cooperation in terms of dual degree bachelor programs and student exchanges.
